REAL Fun Food For Kids Is Supposed To Be Healthy!
Eating healthy is something kids don’t fully (or don’t want to) understand, which is why us parents have to closely monitor their diets. It’s alright to give them a few treats from time to time, so long as they don’t abuse the privilege.
Like the title says, fun food for kids is supposed to be healthy – there isn’t a single child on the planet that’d be happy knowing he’s obese or in an unnatural state of health at an early age. With that said, here’s one food that you should be feeding your loved ones: avocados.
This super fruit is rich in a variety of nutrients, but particularly contains a large amount of vitamin E, which is great for the skin and preventing cancer plus heart disease. The light-green fruit is an excellent source of beta-sitosterol, a compound that has been proven to lower the cholesterol levels in one’s body.
Another fun food for kids would be beans, as it is rich in iron, protein, and fiber, all of which are important for maintaining good health and detoxifying the body. Now beans on their own may not be that appetizing in the eyes of children (or adults), but using it as an ingredient in other recipes should make ingesting it easier.
Beans make an excellent addition to soup or sauces for nachos. It also goes well with mashed potatoes and roast chicken with gravy, since its boring taste is easily masked by the deliciousness of the other foods included in this meal.
Another fun food for kids is sweet potatoes. One benefit of regularly eating sweet potatoes that’d many would find appealing for their children is lower blood sugar levels. It’s also a good source of vitamins A and C, plus phytochemicals.
If your kid is into eating sandwiches, make sure that the bread is made out of whole-grains, so that when it’s ingested it gets converted to glucose, which is good for stabilizing energy levels throughout the entire day.
Furthermore, use natural peanut butter (like ones made purely out of cashew or almonds) as a spread instead of the usual ones you see in stores. Most commercial brands are loaded with sugar and trans fats, both of which can lead to several serious complications if regularly ingested.
